Building Self-Sustaining Businesses

Our Please Bloom Spaces are designed to address the critical needs of the community by creating a self-sustaining ecosystem. Through four key elements, we are building a model that will not only support marginalized communities but also generate revenue to maintain and operate the space. Here’s how:

  • Building Blocks - Production

Hosting community events and talent showcases, our event space builds social cohesion, provides a platform for local artists, and creates additional revenue streams for the ongoing support of the community.

  • Coffee Shop

Provides employment, creates a welcoming community hub, and generates revenue through sales, allowing for continued operation and growth.

  • Wellness Center

With a focus on holistic health, the wellness center offers accessible services and healing, supporting both physical and mental well-being while generating revenue to sustain our space.

  • Retail & Store

Our retail space not only highlights local designers and entrepreneurs but also offers mentorship, showcasing how small businesses can thrive while supporting the larger community.

Our Story

At Please Evolve Foundation, we are a team of passionate individuals driven by a shared vision to create lasting change for marginalized communities. Tommy Mot, a visionary in retail and merchandise, and Laura Jaramillo (LJ), the innovator behind Please Bloom, founded this organization together after meeting nine years ago. From the moment they aligned their passions, they’ve worked hand-in-hand to build a better tomorrow—one where all communities are empowered and supported.

Joining forces with Kimberly Gilbert our Growth and Expansion Coordinator (also known for her delicious empanadas), and Nate with Credo Coffee, who fuels our mission with their ground coffee and cold brew, we are creating sustainable, revenue-generating systems that benefit individuals and communities alike. Our wellness team, including Gabby from The Umbrella Brigade and Orlando City Health and Wellness, provides critical mental health, chiropractic, physical therpay and immediate support to those who need it most.

Through partnerships with Ideas for Us and Fleet Farming, we’ve established a home base that drives wealth-building initiatives, provides essential resources, and works toward helping marginalized communities gain equity by owning property and fostering small businesses. Our vision for long-term impact is grounded in creating spaces that amplify marginalized voices, foster growth, and ensure the sustainability of our mission for years to come.
